• Electrical Technician (Underground)

• Residential (Kalgoorlie/ Kambalda) or FIFO

Reporting to the Leading Hand Electrical, you will be responsible for delivering preventative and breakdown maintenance across surface and underground fixed plant infrastructure, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient operations.

This role is offered on an 8/6 7/7 days and nights roster, either residential or FIFO from Perth. For residential employees, daily bus transport to and from site is provided, along with relocation assistance if required.

About the role:

• Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on plant equipment
• Fault-find and repair electrical and instrumentation systems (HV & LV)
• Carry out inspections, servicing, adjustments and troubleshooting
• Commissioning and decommissioning of equipment and machinery
• Conduct HV switching activities
• Maintain compliance with safety, environmental and site procedures
• Complete all administrative processing requirements associated with maintenance duties
• Support and mentor apprentices

Requirements:

• Australian recognised Electrical Trade Qualification
• Valid A Grade Electrical Licence
• Experience with fixed plant and/or processing environments
• Instrumentation and PLC experience (Allen Bradley highly regarded)
• Current C Class driver’s licence
• Current First Aid Certificate
• HV Switching Certificate (desirable)
• Working at heights and EWP tickets
• Additional tickets (crane, dogging, forklift) highly regarded
