The Opportunity:

 

Reporting to the Mining Manager, You’ll have the opportunity to lead and grow by delivering on safety, production, and cost objectives. Your leadership will ensure our St Ives mine achieves its short-term targets while progressing long-term strategic plans.

 

Up to six months’ free, company-provided accommodation may be available for eligible candidates from under-represented groups (for example, women in mining and Indigenous Australians) relocating to Kambalda for permanent roles.

 

Accommodation includes basic furnishings and utilities and is subject to availability and housing policy, with support available to assist with transitioning to a lease after the initial six-month period. Eligibility and final terms will be discussed during the recruitment process.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage and oversee the production and development activities of the mine, balancing daily operational requirements with long-term planning to achieve budget and business objectives.
  • Monitor work completion to ensure it aligns with the operational plan, implementing timely corrective actions when required.
  • Drive continuous improvement by promoting open communication, sharing ideas, and ensuring operational needs are considered in planning and decision-making.
  • Maximise mined recovery and minimise dilution in stoping activities.
  • Oversee the preparation of mining schedules to produce accurate forecasts and budgets, ensuring that development and production requirements are aligned.

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Capability in contractor management and business partner engagement
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Mining) or equivalent
  • Western Australian First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency
