About the role

In the vacation student people and culture role, gain practical experience supporting employee engagement, talent and people initiatives across the business. Working alongside experienced professionals, you will contribute to programs that help attract, develop and support our people.

Some of your work may include:

• Assist with recruitment and onboarding activities.
• Support employee engagement initiatives.
• Contribute to learning and development programs.
• Assist with HR reporting and documentation.
• Support people projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work with stakeholders across the business to deliver people outcomes.

Program location

Northparkes Operations, NSW

One of Australia’s most technically advanced mining operations, featuring block cave, sub-level cave and open pit mining.

Roster: 5:2/4:3
Included: Subsidised accommodation, flights at the start and end of the program, plus return travel over the festive period.

About you

We’re looking for motivated students who are curious, hands-on and keen to grow their technical skills.

You’ll be:

• Studying human resources, business, psychology or related discipline.
• Demonstrated interest in people, culture and organisational development.
• A strong problem-solver with analytical thinking skills.
• A confident communicator and team player.
• Willing to live and work in a regional mining environment.
• Hold a valid manual driver’s license.
