Gold Fields offers industry-leading apprenticeship training at each of its sites throughout the year. Their highly regarded Apprenticeship Program includes mentoring and skills-development advice from some of the most experienced and knowledgeable leaders in the mining industry.

St Ives recruit annually for apprentices with targeted recruitment of residents from the Kambalda and Kalgoorlie area. St Ives and Granny Smith have Trainee Programs for Open Pit and Underground Operators, Process Technicians and Administrators.

Focusing on highly sought-after, industry-based skills-development, the Gold Fields Graduate Program provides an excellent start to a career in mining. Based on Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy best practice, the program offers tailored mentoring, technical development, open-pit or underground experience and role specific training to help with your success.

Gold Fields run an annual graduate and vacation student intake at the end of quarter one each year for the following year. The Program is open to graduates in Mining Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geology and Metallurgy.

The various formal Leadership Development Programs at Gold Fields support potential supervisors up to senior management. The Programs are delivered by industry leading institutions and are available to all Gold Fields employees. The delivery of these Programs, aligned to the Gold Fields global leadership competencies, extends over a 12-month period and is facilitated across three study schools.

Gold Fields regularly provide opportunities for students to experience work during their vacations and post information with selected universities when opportunities arise.
