A graduate is a fixed-term, entry-level position offered by mining companies to University or TAFE graduates (typically those who have graduated in the last few years), for one to two years, and is designed to ease the process of going from full-time study into the workforce.

NExUS
The National Exploration Undercover School (NExUS) is a summer program (commencing 22 November to 12 December) for the next generation of Australian exploration geologists and is administered through the University of Adelaide. Delivered by key figures in industry, government and academia, NExUS participants are exposed to leading exploration concepts and technology to face the challenges of effective exploration through post-mineralisation cover.
The course consists of workshops, interactive lectures and hands-on activities both in the field and in the classroom, with evening networking events with senior representatives from industry and professional organisations. Students at undergraduate or postgraduate level from any university across Australia and recent industry and government employees in the sector can apply to be part of the 3-week program. Applications are now open for the 2020 program and close on 31 July.
